About Me

ALEX BURTSON

Hi! My name is Alex Burtson, and I’m a UX designer with a background in graphic design, front-end web development, and learning experience design. I’ve recently stepped into the UX space because I want to create enjoyable and intuitive interfaces that solve real problems. I’m interested in performing user research and usability testing to evaluate the effectiveness of user interfaces and to interact and learn from real users. I also am passionate about visual design, utilizing my creativity and design knowledge to come up with visual solutions whether in the form of a style guide or logo.

See my resume below for more information on my work experience.

In my free time, I enjoy studying personality type systems such as Myers Briggs and the Enneagram. (I’m an INFP and Enneagram type Four). I like to study people and celebrities through these systems to get an understanding of their psychology, values, strengths and weaknesses. I believe everyone is unique, but that we also embody certain identifiable archetypes. I also enjoy making music and played guitar for five years in a Joy Division cover band, playing live shows at bars in my hometown of San Diego, California.

 Testimonials

“Alex is a great designer and it was a pleasure to work with him. I can’t say enough about his design eye and ability to see the difference between good design and bad design. It’s something you can’t teach. You either have it or you don’t. Alex has it and then some. If you have an opportunity to work with Alex I would highly recommend him. He works hard and is very talented. He will be an asset to any team he works with!”

Shawn Hayes, Owner at Share Web Design

“In my time working with Alex, I found him to be knowledgeable, talented, hardworking, and able to juggle multiple tasks at once without a hitch. More importantly though, he is a great down-to-earth person, who approaches people and projects with a positive attitude. He is a rare individual, and one I wouldn’t think twice about hiring onto a project, or bringing onto a team, given the opportunity.”
